Arris acquires EGT video processing lines

Video technology company Arris has acquired the video processing assets of Atlanta-based EGT for US$6.5m.
Arris said that EGT’s encoder and transcoder range would complement its existing video-on-demand, switched digital video and advertising insertion products.
