Russian service provider Comstar-UTS has launched pay-TV services in the resort city of Sochi on the Black Sea coast.
Comstar said it planned to sign up at least 2,000 subscribers in the city by the end of the year, targeting in particular the hospitality industry.
The launch of services in Sochi follows the launch earlier this year of pay-TV in Krasnodar in southern Russia, which itself followed the merger of Comstars regional subsidiary with the parent company.
Comstar said it had now signed up about 13,000 households in Krasnodar.Â
