LagardÃ¨re Active, the multimedia arm of French conglomerate LagardÃ¨re, turned in revenues of Â831m for the first half, a like-for-like fall of 17.7%.
The audiovisual divisionÂs revenues fell by 15% on a like-for-like basis. The company said its French TV and radio channels performed better than those abroad, where the fall was over 20%. Digital services represented 7.4% of LagardÃ¨re ActiveÂs total, up from 6.4% for the comparable period in 2008.Â Â
Operating income from LagardÃ¨re ActiveÂs consolidated activities amounted to Â9m, down from Â112m for the same period in 2008.
LagardÃ¨re owns TV channels Gulli, Canal J and Virgin 17, as well as production unit LagardÃ¨re Entertainment, digital division LagardÃ¨re Digital France and ad sales arm LagardÃ¨re PublicitÃ©.Â
