UPC Slovakia passes 50,000 digital cable subscribers

Cable operator UPC Slovakia’s digital TV service now has over 50,000 subscribers.

Together with DTH service UPC Direct’s 30,000 digital satellite subscribers in the country, this means that UPC now has 80,000 digital TV subscribers in Slovakia.

UPC Slovakia offers 90 digital TV channels, including six HD channels, as well as a DVR service. The cable operator currently offers digital in eight cities: Bratislava, Košice, Žilina, Prešov, Trnava, Banska Bystrica, Pezinok and Nova Zámky.
