OPTA sets resale price for RTV on Ziggo

Dutch cable operator Ziggo and regulator OPTA have agreed a resale price of €11.05 for music channel RTV’s service on its analogue tier.

Under a recent ruling, cable operators are obliged to respond to reasonable requests for the transmission of channels on their analogue tier on a wholesale basis, giving third-party providers the ability to resale channels to subscribers. Ziggo has been in negotiation with OPTA for several months to work out a way to meet these obligations.
