Ofcom censures Virgin1



UK pay-TV channel Virgin1 has been rapped by communications regulator Ofcom for transmitting programming with an over-18 certification before the 21:00 watershed and for putting out another show containing swearing before the allotted time for such content.

Specifically, the entertainment channel broadcast an 18-rated episode of The X Files before 21:00 and lifestyle show, To the Manor Bowen, containing the offensive language also before the watershed.
