FranceÂs digital channels, including pay-TV channels, turned in Â1.084bn worth of advertising turnover in the first six months of this year, up 29.1% year-on-year.
Free-to-air digital-terrestrial channels were responsible for Â695.2m of ad revenue, an increase of 64.6% year-on-year, according to figures released by TV advertising trade body the SNPTV. The figure represented 19% of the TV advertising total.
FranceÂs six main national channels, on the other hand, turned in Â2.564bn of ad revenues for the first half, of which private channels TF1, Canal Plus and M6 were responsible for Â2.345bn, down 7.2% year-on-year.Â
