Russian service provider Comstar-UTS has completed the construction of the main part of its new next-generation Moscow region backbone network.
Comstar has currently built a 180km fibre-optic ring network, with 44 10GbE ports and 264 GbE ports, at an overall investment of RUB111m (2.5 million). The operator has built nodes in 11 of MoscowÂs satellite cities. The operator plans to complete its network build-out by 2013.
