Telenet adds new channels to analogue

Belgian cable operator Telenet is to add three new channels to its analogue line-up. The operator will add Flemish children’s channel vtmKZOE, Alfacam-produced general interest channel EXQI Plus and a Flemish version of Discovery Channel on its analogue and basic digital tiers from October 1.

Telenet said it would also add new international channels to its basic digital package in October. German channels ProSieben, Sat.1 and RTL will be added, along with Mediaset Italia Network Flanders.

Telenet also plans to remove channels ARD, WDR, Rai, TRT and CNBC from analogue and carry them exclusively on the digital tier. On analogue, vtmKZOE will initially share a frequency with business news channel Kanaal Z, with the latter becoming exclusively digital later.
