UPC Ireland to launch HD

Irish cable operator UPC Ireland is set to launch a high definition service later this year. The company will launch the service with a 2.4m national advertising campaign. This comes as the Liberty Global-owned pay service increased subscribers by 9,000 in the last quarter, taking its total to 684,100.
