MTG combines Bulgarian assets



Modern Times Group (MTG) has completed the reorganisation of its Bulgarian TV assets by merging all of its holdings into the country into Nova Televizia,
The move follows approval by the country’s competition regulator.

Following its deal with Apace Media in March to transfer all assets within the jointly owned Balkan Media Group into Nova Televizia, MTG now owns 95% of the enlarged group with Apace holding 5%. The company controls TV channels Nova TV (the country’s second most-watched), Diema, Diema Family, Diema 2 and MM.
