ESPN signs with big four

ESPN will be available on four UK pay-TV platforms in time for the start of the English Premier League, after finalising deals with IPTV service BT Vision and pay-DTT platform Top Up TV.

The sports broadcaster was awarded broadcasting rights to 46 Premier League matches following the demise of Setanta Sports in June. ESPN is available with BT Vision’s Bronze, Silver or Gold Value Packs at no extra cost, with prices starting from £7.34 (€8.64) a month for the first three months and £14.68 per month thereafter.

To mark the launch on Top Up TV, subscribers to the new channel will get the first month of Premiere League coverage for free, after which time it will cost £9.99 per month.
