Unitymedia upgrades more rural networks

German cable operator Unitymedia has begun upgrading its networks in the region around the towns of Winterberg, Medebach and Hallenberg as part of its programme to bring broadband services to rural areas.

The upgrade will bring triple-play services to an additional 9,000 households in the areas affected.
