Spanish telco TelefÃ³nica had 2.4 million pay-TV subscribers globally at the end of June, up 19.4% year-on-year, driven primarily by growth in Latin America.
TelefÃ³nica recorded domestic net pay-TV additions of only 4,715 for the second quarter, which in turn was an improvement on the first quarter. The company said its domestic share of the pay-TV market stood at over 14%, the same as at year-end, and that over 86% of its broadband subscribers took a double or triple-play offer.Â
TelefÃ³nica has pay-TV services in operation in Spain, the Czech Republic, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela.
