KDG marks subscriber progress

German cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) said it had 11.75 million revenue-generating units by its financial year-end of March 31, up 6.2% year-on-year.

The company’s digital pay-TV base grew by 23,000 over the year to reach 842,00 internet and phone RGUs reached 1.584 million, up 69.4% on the previous year.

KDG said its cash flow for the 2008-09 fiscal year amounted to €668.7m, up from €444.7m year-on-year. The company said it expected to exceed one million internet and phone subscribers by March 2010, and grow revenue by between 5-7%, with EBITDA of between €635-645m. Capital expenditure is expected to increase by 70% over last year to between €305-335m.
