Belgacom TV continues to grow

Belgian telco Belgacom added 82,000 IPTV customers during the first half of 2009, giving it a total of 589,000 by the end of the year, four years after the service launched.

During the six-month period, Belgacom TV generated revenues of €5m, a year-on-year growth of 53.3%. The service contributed 5% of the total consumer business unit revenue, which was €1.2bn.

TV ARPU at the end of June 2009 was €19.80, compared to €19.50 a year earlier.
