Virgin Media to carry 4HD

Virgin Media will add Channel 4’s HD channel, 4HD, to its line up.

The cable operator is in the process of boosting its HD portfolio and 4HD is set to join BBC HD, ESPN HD, Living HD, FX HD, MTV Networks International’s MTVNHD and National Geographic HD on the platform. FX HD, MTVNHD and National Geographic HD will launch tomorrow, while ESPN HD will launch on August 3, with 4HD and LIVING HD “coming soon”, according to Virgin Media. The operator will make its HD channels available at no extra cost to its XL TV customers.

Series currently broadcast in HD on 4HD include Ugly Betty, Come Dine With Me and Shameless.
