Ofcom initiates search for C4 chairman

UK communications regulator Ofcom has appointed a number of headhunters to search for a replacement for Channel 4 chairman Luke Johnson, when he steps down at the end of the year.

Many expected the regulator to delay the process until the future of Channel 4 and its widely publicised deal with BBC Worldwide is sorted out. Pizza Express founder Johnson was appointed in 2004.
