Teleste posts second-quarter figures

Finland-based cable technology specialist Teleste has reported second-quarter revenues of €30.6m, up from €29.3m for the same period last year. Operating profit was €0.4m, down from €1.7m last year, but an improvement on the first quarter.

Teleste said that it had suffered year-on-year from decreased deliveries in the broadband cable networks business, but improvements had been made quarter-on-quarter thanks to well-managed material costs and other adjustments.
Teleste said its orders received stood at €29.6m at the end of the quarter, down from €37.4m for the same period last year.
