Media Capital sees revenues fall

Portuguese media company Media Capital, which operates free-to-air network TVI, has seen its revenues fall by 1% to €134.8m over the last six months.

Total advertising revenue was also down 20% to €24.1m. However, the company was buoyed by the fact that its production arm recorded a 14% rise in revenues and its main channel maintained a solid ratings lead with an audience share of 35.9% compared to public broadcaster’s 29.1% share and rival commercial net SIC’s 28.4%.
