TF1 receives four bids for channel distribution

French broadcaster TF1 has received four provisional offers to distribute its thematic pay-TV channels.

Pay-TV operator Canal Plus, IPTV operators Orange and Free and mobile and fixed-line operator SFR have all made provisional offers to distribute Eurosport, Eurosport 2, LCI, Histoire, Ushuaia and TV Breizh.

The broadcaster will start talks with the interested parties soon. It is trying to establish whether a deal with a new platform could prove more beneficial than its current exclusive deal with Canal Plus Group’s DTH pay-TV service CanalSat.
