SBB takes extra Eutelsat capacity

Serbia Broadband (SBB) has signed a deal with satellite operator Eutelsat for an additional two transponders from its 16º East orbital position.

SBB will use the extra capacity to expand its DTH platform Total TV. The operator plans to launch several new channels, including Cinemax 2, MGM, Discovery ID, Disney and two new channels from Pink Media Company. The capacity will also support expansion to additional regional markets including Macedonia, as well as further improve signal quality.

SBB and Eutelsat have also agreed on the long-term extension of contracts for the two transponders SBB have used since 2006.
