Prisa unwilling to sell majority stake in Media Capital
Spanish media company Prisa is only willing to sell a minority stake in Portuguese media company Media Capital, which owns local broadcaster TVI.
The company has been in talks to sell 30% of the company with various parties including Portugal Telecom, which saw a bid vetoed by the government, and Spanish producer Mediapro. However, Media Capital CEO Bernado Bairrao told local press that Prisa wasn’t interested in selling a majority stake in the business. Portuguese investment firm Portuguese Ongoing Strategy Investments became the latest company linked with the stake and said that it was currently analysing its options. Â
