KDG eyes Orion acquisition

Germany’s leading cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) is considering acquiring local rival Orion as well as its sister Belgian company Primacom.

The cabler is reportedly currently considering a bid for the two troubled companies; Orion’s creditors have made proposals to secure the company, but a sale to KDG would be a more attractive offer. Anti-trust authorities are expected to approve a deal between the two companies.
