Zon mulls Angola pay-TV launch

Portuguese pay-TV operator Zon Multimédia has confirmed that it is studying a plan to provide a pay-TV service in Angola.

Zon has teamed up with a company controlled by Isabel Dos Santos, the businesswoman daughter of Angolan president José Eduardo Dos Santos, to study the opportunity. Zon said the plan was still at a preliminary stage, and would require in particular the cooperation of the Angolan authorities if it were to go ahead.
