Zappware attracts investors

Interactive TV specialist Zappware has attracted a group of new investors that the company said would strengthen its stakeholder structure.

The new investors group has been created around private capital providers Jurgen Ingels and Michel Akkermans. Ingels, who has also been appointed a member of Zappware’s executive board, said he wants “to help the company grow, attract risk capital and possibly do acquisitions”.

Separately, Zappware said it had signed its first deal with an IPTV operator to use its iView for Operators interactive TV platform. The unnamed service provider operates in two former Yugoslav countries.
