Sky Deutschland names SVP broadcast operations

German pay-TV provider Premiere’s rebranded pay-TV platform Sky Deutschland has appointed Jim Rudder as senior vice-president broadcast operations.

Rudder will be responsible for overseeing Sky’s broadcasting activities, both internally and through the various outsourced service providers. He will oversee the establishment of the broadcasting infrastructure and capability in the new building. Rudder was a part of the launch teams for BSkyB and Sky Italia and his roles have included deputy director of Sky News and director of interactive television for BSkyB.

Rudder will take on the additional role of general manager of Creation Club, the advertising, promotion and formats business Premiere recently acquired from Constantin Media.
