French commercial broadcaster M6 has struck an advertising deal with French pay-TV platform Canal Plus that will work with advertisers targeting high earning viewers. Â
The two companies have launched a package dubbed M Plus  that will allow advertisers to buy advertising across eleven of the broadcasters channels at a fixed price. The deal will start in September and will last until at least the end of the year. â¨
This comes as M6 is expected to see advertising revenues at its flagship network drop by over 11%. Executive chairman Nicolas de Tavernost told local press that it will take the hit in the second quarter as a result of tough economic conditions.
The broadcaster is also expected to decrease programming costs to help stymie the loss.
