German cable operator Kabel BW is launching DOCSIS 3.0-based 100Mbps internet access in three regions in July.
The operator will make the service available as part of a dual-play package with flat-rate telephony for 49.90. The upstream speed on the service will be 2.5Mbps. Â
CleverKabel 100 will initially be available in the Rhine-Neckar region, Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden, and the Neckar-Alb region. Kabel BW aims to offer the service to two thirds of its subscribers by the end of this year, with all upgraded households being able to receive it by mid-2010.
