Russian digital dividend plans take shape

Spectrum freed up by digital switchover in Russia is likely to be used to expand digital TV services further or to develop next-generation mobile services, communications and media minster Igor Shchyogolev was reported as saying yesterday.

Shchyogolev was reported by Prime-Tass as saying that frequencies could be allocated for new digital TV services if private investors expressed interest.
