Telecom technology supplier Ericsson has been chosen to provide IPTV technology and GPON fibre-to-the-home infrastructure to Armenian telco Ucom.
EricssonÂs IPTV system will deliver broadcast channels, video-on-demand, an EPG and DVR capability to Ucom customers. The service will be delivered over a GPON network, allowing customers to receive several HDTV channels, download files from the internet and place voice calls simultaneously. The network will be rolled out from July.Â
