Mediaset launches multi-platform game

Italy’s Mediaset has launched a new multi-platform game for TV, web and mobile users.

Codice Segreto takes the form of a treasure hunt among the video galleries on the Mediaset.it website, offering prizes to contestants. The game, fronted by actress and model Enrica Pintore, will encourage players to search for a hidden code, using mobile messaging and social networking sites to find additional clues.

Meanwhile, the fate of Mediaset’s sports website sportmediaset.it will be decided this week, according to local reports.

Mercati Finanziari reports that Mediaset may decide to switch off the portal following a meeting with sports journalists this Thursday because of its high production costs and low advertising income.
