WISI acquires A2B Electronics

German cable technology specialist WISI has acquired Swedish headend specialist A2B Electronics. A2B is strong in the Scandinavian cable TV market, supplying equipment to all the major operators in the region.

According to WISI, A2B will continue to operate as a separate entity within the WISI group of companies, with executive vice-president Olof Atterfors acting as managing director, and former A2B owner Bo Lindqvist joining the WISI advisory board on future strategy for digital TV.
