TDF names suppliers for DTT VOD delivery

French transmission services provider TDF has chosen conditional access provider Viaccess, content push technology specialist Quadrille and set-top box software specialist 27M to deliver premium content to video-on-demand channels’ subscribers on digital-terrestrial TV.

TDF has been offering push-VOD services on the DTT network to broadcasters on a trial basis since earlier this year. Programmes are broadcast over the air to a dedicated part of DVR users’ hard drives overnight, giving viewers the option to watch the content later.
