Duo eye ProSieben takeover



European hedge fund operators Apollo and Octavian are reportedly interested in taking control of German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 after it emerged that the companies had acquired a large amount of the broadcaster’s debt.

The two companies have reportedly acquired around 40% of the company’s debt, making them major creditors. This move could lead to a showdown with ProSiebenSat.1’s current owners, private equity firms KKR and Permira.
