UK 3D faces challenges

The development of 3D TV in the UK faces a number of challenges, according to industry consortium the Digital TV Group.

The lack of a cohesive approach across the TV industry means there is a risk of varying standards and incompatible 3D systems, the DTG warned. Other challenges include bandwidth constraints and the possible psycho-phsyiological side effects of watching 3D TV, which might include headaches and eye strain.
