Eutelsat to increase broadband speeds

Satellite operator Eutelsat has announced plans to increase the speed of its broadband-via-satellite service Tooway to over 3Mbps from 2Mbps.

From July 1, its two-way satellite broadband service will offer speeds of up to 3.6Mbps and maximum uplink speeds of 384kbps for all customers at no extra charge. In addition, the company is to discount usage volumes by 50% between 00:00 and 06:00 GMT in a move it said would “reward use of the satellite network at times of traditional low usage”.
