French Open final gets 3D treatment

Orange and France Télévisions have announced plans to broadcast the men’s final of the French Open in 3D on cinema screens in France and Spain.

Orange and France Télévisions will use five stereoscopic cameras to film the final on June 7. Broadcast services provider GlobeCast will broadcast the signal via satellite from Roland Garros in Paris to a cinema in the city, while in Spain, cinemas in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia will also show the match in 3D.
