Euronews hails Middle East audience growth

Pan-European news channel Euronews said it reached an average 89,000 viewers in the Middle East between mid-June and September 2008, according to the EMS Middle East survey of 1.75 million upmarket viewers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Euronews said half its audience watched the channel every week. Euronews launched its Arabic-language version in July last year.
