Stream-TV launches internet in Tver and Kaluga

Russian service provider Stream-TV, owned by Comstar-UTS, has launched broadband internet services in the cities of Tver and Kaluga in the country’s Central Federal District.

Stream-TV has deployed fibre-to-the-building networks in Tver and Kaluga, with internet services being delivered to end users via Ethernet and TV services via existing in-building coax. Stream-TV will initially deliver services to 15,300 households in Tver, while it plans ultimately to reach 7,500 households in Kaluga. In both cities, the number of TV channels available will be increased from 26 to 60.
