Sky chooses S3 for set-top testing

Silicon and Software Systems (S3) has announced that UK pay-TV operator BSkyB has licensed its StormTest product to automate the testing of its set-top boxes.

S3 said its StormTest set-top box test and analysis system removes the need for manual testing, which can be time-consuming and expensive. Separately, conditional access specialist Irdeto is to use StormTest to support the development and testing of its security systems.
