Content management and global distribution company RRSat Global Communications Network has expanded its access to Africa via the Telstar 11N satellite.
RRSat said it had started operating a new multi-channels per carrier platformÂ on the satellite, located at 37.5Âº West. Telstar 11N has Ku-band transponders to support a range of video and data applications in North America, Europe and Africa. RRSat said its new platform will enable it to serve broadcasters that want to offer TV and IP-based services to the African market, by connecting to cable operator and DTH providers on the continent.
