KDG teams up with O2 for mobile

German cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has teamed up with mobile network operator O2 to provide a quad-play offer.

The service, which is available to KDG broadband and fixed-phone subscribers, has been dubbed Mobile Phone. Speaking at the ANGA trade show in Cologne, KDG CEO Adrian von Hammerstein said: “We hesitated before we started this cooperation because we asked if it was desired by subscribers – but there is a need.” He said the service provided a SIM card to subscribers without an additional monthly fee.
