Kable BW to launch VOD trial with Harmonic and EventIS gear

German cable operator Kabel BW has chosen Harmonic and EventIS to provide technology for a video-on-demand trial to be launched later this year. The companies announced the deal at the ANGA trade show in Cologne.

The trial, which will be Germany’s first major cable VOD deployment, will use the full range of Harmonic’s VOD products along with back-office platforms provided by EventIS.
