Piedmont begins switchover with Rai 2 and Rete 4

Italian national channels Rai 2 and Rete 4 have switched off analogue transmission in the western Piedmont region.

Other channels will continue to be broadcast in analogue and digital-terrestrial until September, after which time all analogue services in Turin and western Piedmont will be switched off.

The Piedmont switchover follows that in Sardinia last year. Other regions scheduled for switchover this year include Lazio, Val d’Aosta, Trentino and Campania.
