La Cuatro, La Sexta close to tie-up
Spanish free-to-air channels La Cuatro and La Sexta are close to a tie-up.
A deal between the two stations is pending approval of legislation in a Spanish Congress commission to allow mergers between broadcasters, according to Spanish daily La Gaceta. Media group Prisa owns La Cuatro while Mexicos Grupo Televisa is a key shareholder in La Sexta.
