UK government in licence vote
The British government is to vote on plans to freeze the TV licence fee for one year.
The licence fee rose in April 2009 by £3 (3.4) to £142.50 as part of a six-year deal. However, the opposition party, the Conservatives, argue that the British public broadcaster the BBC must provide more value for less money in the current tough economic circumstances.Â
