ANGA Cable to offer broadband and TV summits

The ANGA Cable trade fair takes place next week, featuring 380 exhibitors from 33 countries. The event, which takes place from May 26-28 in Cologne will feature summits looking at the future of broadband and TV.

The international broadband summit will include Cable versus Wireless: Next Generation Competitors?, in which CEOs and chief technology officers from five countries will discuss the effects of new wireless networks, including LTE and Wimax, on the broadband competition in Europe. The TV strategy summit will include Who conquers the future TV markets?, featuring representatives from German network operators and content providers, including Dr. Adrian von Hammer-stein (CEO of Kabel Deutschland), Parm Sandhu (CEO of Unitymedia), Markus Schmid (CEO of Tele Columbus), Harald Rösch (CEO of Kabel Baden Württemberg), Werner Hanf (CEO of NetCologne), Ferdinand Kayser (President and CEO of SES Astra), Dr. Marcus Englert (board member of ProSieben Sat.1) and Dr Carl-Eugen Eberle (general counsel, ZDF).

Overall, there will be 20 panel discussions, coving topics including analogue switch off, digitalisation and triple-play strategies. A three-day pass for the exhibition costs €20. A three-day congress ticket costs €150 and a technology ticket costs €75.
