Lithuania’s Teo adds HD channels to IPTV service

Lithuanian telco Teo LT has added three HDTV channels to its Gala TV service. The service’s basic package now includes Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and Rush HD from Voom Networks.

The HD channels are currently available to Gala TV subscribers that receive services via FTTH or LAN networks. Gala TV currently has about 45,000 subscribers, about a third of which take optional premium services. Teo has also provided a version of the service over Lithuania’s digital-terrestrial network since March, with about 35,000 subscribers.
