Technicolor completes ITV transfer

Thomson’s media services subsidiary Technicolor has completed the transfer of all of the playout and delivery services for UK broadcaster ITV to its purpose-built transmission centre in Chiswick Park, London.

Technicolor created a new facility to manage all 23 regional ITV1 channels as well as ITV’s digital-only channels. Technicolor’s 11-year transmission services contract with ITV, which was signed in 2006, has seen ITV staff transferred to Technicolor and a joint team work to develop new operational workflows to ensure efficient multi-platform delivery.
